the practice

We believe that no job is too small or too big for us; each project we take on is given the committment and attention it deserves from the start to the finish.

A well designed building requires the active participation of a responsive client and an array of skills brought to the project in the form of an appropriate team of consultants.

architectural technician

Although the practice was set up in 2006, we boast over ten years experience of both large and small architectural projects. It is our aim to provide a sound professional service to all our clientele.

We believe that no job is too small or too big for us; each project we take on is given the committment and attention it deserves from the start to the finish. It requires the active participation of a responsive client and an array of specialized skills brought to the project in the form an appropriate team of consultants. A well designed building cannot be achieved without immense effort and commitment from all of the members of the team.

All our projects have one thing in common - they are very important to our clients, to those who will use the buildings, and to the environment in which they are situated. We are very aware of our responsibilities and strive for excellence in every facet of our service. The office portfolio of completed projects is growing with many projects now constructed or at advanced design stage. All our work is fully insured

low energy design

We believe that an important aspect of good design is creating an overall building concept that will be informed by what is around it, such as taking advantage of available sunlight. Most of our clients want us to investigate ways in which their new building will incorporate both active and passive methods of conserving energy.

To that end, we work out all designs mindful of orientation of the site with the sun, percentage of glazing, levels of insulation etc. When it comes to the detailed design and construction phases of the project, we specify and advise on any other systems that might be appropriate and provide costing advice in relation to such systems. Many of our domestic projects currently on-site and recently completed incorporate solar panels as well as increased levels of insulation.

building energy rating (ber)

All new houses now require an authorised and registered Building Energy Rating Assessor to certify an energy rating for the house, which has to be lodged with Sustainable Energy Ireland. Energy ratings will give prospective house buyers a good idea what it will cost to run the house and they will also be able to compare the energy rating of one house to another. With this in mind we provide a full energy ratings service.
